‘carry on’ β€’ acrylic on reclaimed, broken wooden table/this is the table that the round glass i painted once lived on πŸ˜„

once upon a time the top of this table was round with no gaps
i’ve no desire really to paint furniture, but this was given to me…
as i lounge/sit on the floor a lot and am often looking at the underside of furniture, i decided to include that as well!

  1. Oh that is interesting my friend. We have about an acre and a half and it is heavily treed. So I will miss the yard our trees, rain barrels but we hope to be living in an area that is surrounded by trees and a small area for raising a few goats for goat cheese. I have studied quite a bit about it. Your furniture would be gorgeous in a log cabin. We want no more than 1200 square feet and prefer 1,000 to 900. There is a whole upstairs that doesn’t get used. Sending you lots of love. Your furniture is really adorable. I am surprised you are not selling to boutiques on the island. πŸ¦‹πŸ€—πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ˜˜πŸ§šπŸ»πŸ‰πŸ‰ kiss the dragons love y’all

    1. WOW!!!! That sounds fantastic! Raising goats and making cheese?!! What a fun goal! I’m sure You’ll find a wonderful, perfect spot with the most amazing trees possible! And Thank You for Your kind words!!! I don’t usually do furniture. That was just a table that was being thrown out that was offered me to paint. There is also a dresser that was going to be thrown out that I took and will paint sometime….but I have no real desire to do furniture. My favorite is big old paintings on wood! And Thank You for the boutique thoughts. I haven’t really tried. I’m selling my lighthouse prints in a small beautiful shop I used to work in…and am showing my cards to another cool shop next week…but I haven’t really approached anyone about anything else. Perhaps someday! Building up my body of work right now. I have plans but much to do still!!! Dragons kissed! Love You as well! Happy weekend! πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ˜Š

      1. You too my friend. Your paintings would sell in an upscale boutique and so would your furniture. I have been to myrtle beach and seen painted tables for 250 to 300 that couldn’t hold a candle to yours. They usually only want a piece to start with. I use to sell jewelry but I make nice semi-precious stones and 925 silver earrings and necklaces and I don’t like to sell them. I have but I like to give them to people I love as gifts. I made a boat load of Lapis earrings and matching necklaces and donated them to a dog and cat fundraiser. I get too attached to sell stuff. Your stuff would sell on your island. It is beautiful. Thank you for the dragon kisses. Happy weekend to you and your beautiful man, mine says hi too. Love JoniπŸ˜˜πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ‰πŸ‰πŸ§šπŸ»πŸ§šπŸ»

        1. OH WOW!!! That’s so lovely that You donated Your jewelry! Sweeeeet. And Thank You for Your kind words!!! Laughing because I am the same way to a degree. My paintings are kindof like friends….and I’m more than okay with them being around. A piece we’d had hanging in our doorway for years sold about a month ago and I kept dragging my feet shipping it. Realized I was saying goodbye! 🀣 So funny but so true! Happy weekend to Y’all as well!!! Sending You lots of Love and huge hugs!!! πŸ€—β€οΈπŸŒŠπŸ‰πŸ¦‹β˜€οΈπŸŒΈπŸ§šπŸ½πŸ˜Š

  2. Again, I loved this table, I saw this on your other site, your store, it is so unique. I love it and if we get to move I want all new things because it will be in a smaller space and we don’t want to take material things with us, just those with emotional value. After all things are just that things, they don’t make you happy – well unless they look like this fun table. Beautiful my friend, you have such an imagination and flare. Love and hugs Joni

  3. Your creativity has no limitations, Katy ❀️ Of course, I remember this little table. I was amazed then and I’m even more amazed now. Looking at it is a pure joy – energy, vibrance and beauty πŸŒΈπŸ’žβœ¨

  4. I don’t know what happened with this table that it was cut in half, but what you made of it is awesome. πŸ’• One leprechaun would be very happy to have it. πŸ™‚ And OMG you painted the back of it as well. Perfect! I really like it, Katy. Although the colors are not the same, it reminds me of the red sparkly shoes from the Wizard of Oz. Magic! 🐞

    1. Oh WOW!!! Thank You!!! I love that, Jo!!! How fun! Perhaps it’s a wishing table and all One has to do is sit under it, wish upon those stars and rub the little flowers….then BAMMO!!! You’re off to wherever You long to be! With a leprechaun as Your pilot! πŸ˜ƒ Now THAT’S a cool table!!! πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ˜Š

And You know, I’m not sure…but the circle parts aren’t solid…strips of wood. I think it lost a couple of chunks off the top and a larger piece off the bottom….but now that I think of it, I’m not really sure! Maybe the glass that was so precariously resting on it when my dear one was letting it go was from a different piece altogether! 🀣

      1. It looks interesting. And most definitely it flames the imagination of the onlookers. All in all an inspired piece. Bravo! Love the idea of time machine operated by a leprechaun. πŸ˜€
