this morning during coffee the clouds became waterfalls

their tops spilling over their huge, fluffy sides in ginormous billows of hellos!

I was absolutely stunned…

God! Why is there no one here with me to witness this? I asked outloud

isn’t that always the way?!!

as if on cue one of the tiny tree frogs that have decided my deck is a groovy place to live started croaking loudly

very loudly

a breeze raced onto my deck laughing

the leaves and flowers I am blessed to live with danced a slow tango

the cottony falls kept flowing down down down

all the way into my coffee

and sooo very deep down into my smiling heart!

  5. Your painting is beautiful Katydid. I love the beautiful poem you wrote as well. You always brighten up my day when I read your words and look at your beautiful paintings. They lift me up, sending you lots and lots of love. Thank you. The fairies had their Covid vaccinations, so I’ve been tending to their little temperature increase, and instead of having a loss of taste they have an increased taste for sugar. After they eat all the sugar in this house, I’m sure they’ll be flying over to yours. Either lock it up under key or expect it to be gone through by our friends. Sending you big hugs and wonderful new paints. 🦋

    1. OH! It WAS, Peter. That sincerely happened. I’ve NEVER seen clouds like that in my life and I watch clouds pretty much daily. It was crazy beautiful!!! And it WAS such a very sweet gift to be reminded that many, many others all around me were experiencing that moment as well!!! Rockin’!!! I tried to paint those clouds but….it was just not happening!!! 🤣🤗❤️😊
